UTech students start outreach for JN Children’s Home
As part of the University of Technology (UTech) Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) curriculum, it is mandatory for final-year students to be engaged in the Finance Seminar to hone their leadership and critical-thinking skills. This year, the Faith and Outreach Committee of the Finance Seminar has embarked on a outreach project to assist the Jamaica National Children’s Home (JNCH).
The JNCH has been in existence since 1972; created by the National Children’s Home UK to provide a stable home to orphans, abandoned children and children with severe mental or physical disabilities whose parents are unable to provide proper care.
The committee is reaching out to the public for donations in cash or kind. They urge to “Give a little … help a lot”.
Donations can be made up to March 13, 2021, via:
1. Cash and bank transfer – The Finance and Banking Seminar VMBS Account #401069307: UTech branch
2. Kind – Drop off items at the UTech SOBA Office
The Finance Seminar appreciates a kind heart that extends empathy to the deprived children at the JNCH.
