Medical doctor shot and killed in Trinidad

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Police are searching for two men who shot and killed a 75-year-old doctor as he left his home for his office in Port of Spain early Wednesday.

Police said that Dr Vin Sein Chiang had left his home in Arima when he came across a blockage in the road.

The doctor is reported to have gotten out of his car only to be attacked by two men, one of whom shot him twice in the chest.

Police say they have no motive for the killing.

Nothing was stolen.  

An autopsy will be conducted later.

Nearly 200 people have been murdered in Trinidad since the start of the year.
