Reggae Sumfest patrons had many listening options on Friday night at the Catherine Hall Complex in Montego Bay, St James.

Among the options was to shut out any semblance of noise through a technology that saw several people flocking the Island Stains Herb House booth for the 'silent party'.

Discarding the usual sale of cannabis, the  herb house staged the party in association with Silent Noise by Delano Headphone.

Delano Thomas of Renaissance Disco, offered three channels to patrons.

One of the channels carried the live show with clarity, while the other two had a DJ playing different genres of music.

Thomas said this was just another option in partying.

"You are able to hear the quality, all the instruments, all the details in stereo," he said.

Island Strains' operator Chris Gordon said this was his way to differentiate his booth from all others.

When the bands take a break, almost every booth has loud music, while visitors to Herb House party silently.
