Community bars play a key role in the lives of the everyday Jamaicans whom they serve. Not only do they act as grounds for ‘therapy sessions’, economic activity, and overall community bonding, but they are central points of joy and ‘good vibes’ for Jamaican communities. Beverage giants Pepsi-Cola Jamaica and Red Stripe, along with Jambisco and the D&G Foundation, have committed more than $29 million in product support to community bars across the island to jump-start the sector through the ‘For Our Bars’ campaign. The execution of delivery began on June 11 with a phased distribution process.
