HARARE, Zimbabwe, (CMC):

Zimbabwe, opting to bat first against West Indies, reached 289 all out off their 50 overs, in their Super Sixes match of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers at Harare Sports Club here Monday.

Brendan Taylor was in excellent form for the hosts slamming a massive 138 runs with Solomon Mire (45) and Sean Williams (34) offering most support.

This came against a 4-35 return for West Indies captain Jason Holder, while Kemar Roach picked up 3 -55 and 20 year-old Keemo Paul, 2 - 55 to somewhat reel in the Zimbabwe batsmen, who at one point threaten to put up an even larger total.
