The Ministry of National Security is stepping up efforts to reintegrate juveniles who are in correctional facilities with a new 'We Transform' programme.

"The objective of the programme is to reduce juvenile offences and ultimately crime and violence," said Pearnel Charles Jr, state minister in the national security ministry.

According to the state minister, the programme will primarily be introduced in the four juvenile centres across the country.

Several corporate entities and NGOs including Hawkeye, USAID, JMMB and the CHASE Fund, which is contributing $7.7 million, are powering the programme.
