The atmosphere at the Waterhouse Mini Stadium was filled with smiles on Sunday as Tastee Limited made a donation of $250,000 towards the Waterhouse Football Club.

This took place during half-time of the Red Stripe Premier League showdown between Waterhouse F.C. and Reno F.C.

Ryan Foster Group CEO of Tastee Limited stated that Tastee Ltd decided to sponsor Waterhouse FC as they saw it as an opportunity to extend their reach in sports development and nation building.

"Through sponsorships such as this, we intend to reaffirm the value of sports as an institution for socio-economic change. Tastee Ltd is proud to be associated with this club and will continue to show our commitment," said Foster.

"Sports, education and youth development, are elements that are critical to the growth of any country. Tastee Limited has been a driving force towards the development of those elements in Jamaica over the course of our 50 years and will continue to partner with any institution that embodies this," Foster added.

Donovan White, president of the Waterhouse Football also noted that the donation was extremely important to their plans for the season as they compete in four age group competitions starting with the U-13 plus the top-tier Premier League.

"Corporatedonations/Investments like the one Tastee Jamaica has made is the lifeblood of the clubs in the National Premier League. We provide a professional environment for the playing of the game including contractual obligations to our players and staff and hence we are always grateful for this type of assistance" White noted.

Waterhouse have long been a strong contender in the Red Stripe Premier League and currently have three Premier League titles to their name.
