Jamaica's participants in the Women's Triple Jump have both qualified for the final at the Olympic Games.
National champion and World Athletics silver medallist Shanieka Ricketts advanced from Group B, jumping a distance of 14.43m on Friday morning.
Her compatriot Kimberly Williams squeezed in after jumping 14.30m.
Medal favourite Caterine Ibarguen of Colombia measured a season's best (SB) 14.37m to advance.
Gold medal favourite Yulimar Rojas (14.77m), and Spain's Ana Peleteiro (SB 14.62m) both qualified from Group A.
Cuba's Liadagmis Povea (14.50m), Portugal's Patricia Mamona (14.54m), and USA's Keturah Orji (14.26m) are also into the final.
Thea Lafond is also through with a Dominican national record of 14.60m.
