Dunbeholden blank Montego Bay United 3-0 in JPL
Dunbeholden blanked Montego Bay United 3-0 in their Jamaica Premier League (JPL) game at the UWI-Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence on Monday. Atapharoy Bygrave scored twice for the winners.
Bygrave got the St Catherine-based team off to a great start when he headed home from a corner after three minutes.
Just before the half-time break a mix-up in the Montego Bay United defence, on another set-piece, let in Bygrave for his second, as he put his team 2-0 up at the interval.
In the 68th minute Dunbeholden added to their lead when Kimoni Bailey's shot deflected off a defender and beat Darrien Tummings in goal.
Dundeholden, with the win, joined Mount Pleasant and Waterhouse at the top of the JPL standings with maximum six points.
In the day's first game, Andre Fletcher's double and a late penalty from Shevon Stewart gave Waterhouse a 3-0 win over nine-man Cavalier. Bryan English (41st) and Jamoi Topey (90th) were shown red cards.
