A multi-division police investigation is under way following the discovery of the bodies of a Manchester woman who was reported missing and a security guard who was reportedly being sought by investigators in connection with her disappearance.

The two, 40-year-old Kedecia McLeod and 50-year-old Maurice Fennel, were reportedly in a relationship.

The probe is being coordinated by investigators from the Manchester, St Elizabeth, and St Ann police divisions.

McLeod was reported missing on Tuesday, June 9.

It is reported that her body was discovered in a field in the Peppers area of St Elizabeth at about 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Reports indicate that a farmer who was on his way to his field stumbled upon the body and alerted the police.

Law enforcement personnel remained at the scene for several hours as investigators processed the area and gathered evidence.

Earlier on Thursday, the police in St Ann were called to a location in Brown’s Town where Fennel’s body was found.

Investigators reported that Sennel was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head.

His firearm was reportedly found near his body.

It is reported that the police are treating the matter as a case of suspected suicide.

Sennel reportedly sent messages to friends and church groups indicating that he intended to take his life.

Sources indicated that detectives investigating McLeod’s disappearance were seeking to question Sennel, who was believed to have been her significant other.

He was reportedly being treated as a person of interest in the case.

The discovery of both bodies within hours of each other has prompted a coordinated investigation involving detectives from the three police divisions.

The police have not yet established the full circumstances surrounding either death and are continuing their investigations.

Authorities are urging anyone with information that may assist the probe to contact the police.
