The American Chamber of Commerce Jamaica (AmCham Jamaica) hosted its Business and Civic Leadership Awards and 40th anniversary gala last Wednesday in grand style at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston, with guests arriving in black-tie attire, perfect for the red carpet moment. The milestone event brought together leaders from Jamaica’s business, diplomatic, philanthropic and civic communities, recognising individuals and organisations whose work continues to shape national development beyond the boardroom. Among the evening’s highlights were the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Karl Hendrickson, the Eagle of the Americas Award to the US State Department Bureau for Disaster and Humanitarian Response, and the President’s Award to Scotiabank’s Audrey Tugwell Henry.
