New apartment complex for Vineyard Town
The Hall family, who are connected to both church and kennel operations in Vineyard Town, have set their sights on a new project involving the delivery of living space to professionals in one of Kingston's oldest communities.
The Halls are investing $650 million in the development of Deanery Road Apartments on a
1.83-acre property at 50A Deanery Road. It will comprise a mix of 80 studio and two-bedroom units, and complemented by 103 parking spaces, according to Hugh Scott of Asco Project Consultants Limited, the engineers and project manager for the project.
TARGETING MID-INCOME EARNERS
Scott said the units are targeted mid-income earners, who can access NHT benefits to finance their purchase. The expected selling price for the units was not disclosed.
Designed by architectural firm Rivi Gardner & Associates Limited, the apartments will span two blocks, each of which will rise five-storeys high. The development will be gated.
Scott said construction should begin by the second quarter of 2018. The Halls are using a Special Purpose Vehicle for the project, the name of which was also not disclosed, and will finance the development with bank loans and financing sources, Asco Project Consultants said.
