Miqueal Symone’s Armani appointment
Shortly after returning home from her London base, Pulse model Miqueal Symone Williams got seconded to Paris over the Christmas season to shoot for top French label Armani. This is a major career boost for the fast-rising Pulse star who won the Pulse/Select Model Search 2018.
Delighted by her Armani appointment, her international management team – which includes her mother and her agents Pulse, London’s Select and Paris’ Premium - believes this could catapult Williams to a new level in her career. In fact, with multiple bookings coming in from the major markets, all the agents have had to be doing a serious balancing act for the 5’10” lanky beauty, who has the versatility to elevate to all areas of the modelling business.
A megabrand of world fashion, Armani is a luxury house founded in Italy by Giorgio Armani in 1975. Haute couture, ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, eyewear, home décor and cosmetics are part of the multibillion-dollar company which had estimated sales of US$2.6 billion in 2016. Miqueal Symone joins other Pulse models, Nicola Vassell and Jaunel McKenzie, who have been enrolled by the famous Italian luxury label.
Her Armani assignment aside, Williams has already found favour with some of London’s major high street labels. Not yet one full year into her international modelling debut, she has fast become a fixture across several advertising platforms for Topshop, one of Britain’s most popular ready-to-wear brands. French Connection, Selfridges and Warehouse are some of the daily staple of clients constantly calling on the beauty. Work for L’Oreal Cosmetics and Tommy Hilfiger are also major bookings which have helped to solidify Williams growth at this early stage of her international modelling journey.
Major editorials for Elle and Marie Claire have propelled her to the forefront of the new rising stars of fashion to watch this season. As for the shows for which she did duties in the London collections, Miqueal Symone walked for Richard Quinn, Roksanda, Halpern and Huishan Zhang. This season, however, she has already been tapped for some of the fashion heavyweights not only in London, but also Paris and New York.
In fact, the former Immaculate Conception High School and UWI student has a packed schedule ahead of her with the couture on the horizon in Paris, then to New York for the ready-to-wear collections there, before heading back to the London shows.
