With the global Miss Universe finals taking place in three days time, Miss Universe Jamaica 2025, Dr Gabrielle Henry remains confident and upbeat while enjoying the host country and “soaking up all the opportunities that come with being a part of the pageant”.

The Gleaner had a quick interview with Henry who spoke of her pleasure at being in Bangkok, Thailand, where the finals are being held.

“I’m doing well and I’m appreciative of all that this experience has been offering. It’s truly remarkable to be amongst 120 amazing delegates representing their countries, and to have the opportunity to experience Thai culture and hospitality,” Dr Henry told The Gleaner.

She completed her closed-door preliminary interview last week while staying in the cities of Phuket and Pattaya where some of the pre-pageant activities took place. Among them was the Swimsuit Fashion Show: Columbia Pictures Aquaverse Pattaya. Bennett reportedly “stepped out with grace, confidence and undeniable Jamaican flair”.

“Thailand is a vibrant country with people who exude warmth and kindness, and most of all, who love to smile, just as I do. I truly feel at home. The sisterhood has been strong, and each of the ladies have their unique personality traits that set them apart. It’s been great getting to know them!” Henry shared.

Thailand is nicknamed the ‘Land of Smiles’

Miss Universe Jamaica is currently preparing to participate in tomorrow’s national costume presentation, a showcase of culture and creativity. The all-important preliminary competition is also scheduled for the same day, November 19.
