After 16 years of creating summer memories in Negril, Dream Weekend is set to make history as the highly anticipated 17th staging will take over the sandy shores of Montego Bay from July 30-August 3.

Widely regarded as Jamaica’s premier destination festival, Dream Weekend has spent more than a decade and a half transforming the summer entertainment landscape, attracting thousands of local and international patrons for a weekend of world-class parties, music, and unmatched energy. Now, the festival is entering an exciting new chapter, bringing its signature experience to the vibrant tourism capital of Montego Bay.

The move marks one of the biggest milestones in the festival’s history and sets the stage for what organisers are describing as the most ambitious staging yet.

“Dream Weekend has always been about evolving, elevating, and creating unforgettable experiences,” said Scott Dunn, group managing director of Dream Entertainment. “As we celebrate the 17th staging, Montego Bay provides the perfect backdrop for the next phase of the Dream Weekend journey. We’re bringing the same energy, the same passion, and an even bigger vision.”

Fuelling anticipation is a star-studded entertainment lineup featuring some of the hottest names in dancehall, including Alkaline, Tommy Lee Sparta, Shaneil Muir, Govana, Dexta Daps, Armanii, Skeng, Elephant Man and Jamal, with additional performers and surprises set to heighten the excitement throughout.

Known for delivering sold-out experiences and social-media-defining moments, the event has become more than just a festival; it is a cultural phenomenon that attracts music lovers, party enthusiasts, influencers, and travellers from across the Caribbean, North America, Europe, and beyond.

“This year’s staging promises the perfect blend of music, lifestyle, fashion, and entertainment, all set against Montego Bay’s breathtaking coastline, vibrant nightlife, and renowned hospitality offerings,” added Kamal Bankay, executive chairman of Dream Entertainment. “We have enhanced production, elevated experiences, and fresh event concepts designed to make the transition to Montego Bay one for the history books.”

The festival’s arrival in Montego Bay is also expected to provide a significant boost to the local tourism and entertainment sectors, drawing thousands of visitors and generating much needed economic stimulation across accommodations, transportation, restaurants, attractions, and other supporting industries.

In addition to the signature events, organisers have introduced several new experiences to this year’s lineup, including Bad Beaches SOS, Dream Live, and Foul Play.

As the countdown continues, excitement is building among loyal Dreamers and first-time attendees alike, all eager to witness the next evolution of one of the Caribbean’s most celebrated entertainment brands.
