Grammy-winning reggae artiste Koffee’s highly anticipated 15-track album is now set for release in February 2027, as the artiste continues to build anticipation around the project with the release of her latest single, Ova So.

The album, which was initially expected to arrive in November, has been pushed back to February as Koffee makes room for a more extensive roll-out of the project. The artiste explained that the decision is intentional, allowing more time to properly promote each single and build momentum before the full project arrives.

“We’re pushing back just a little bit more, just so that we can put a little bit more promo into each song, because we think that it’s been doing well and we just need to put a little bit more work in it and work between them, so that when the album drops we really can have that bang,” she said.

The latest step in that roll-out came with the release of Ova So, the fourth single being released ahead of the album. The single was officially launched on Friday at Wickie Wackie Beach in Bull Bay, where fans, industry players, entertainment newcomers and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the latest chapter in the artiste’s musical journey.

The launch provided an intimate yet energetic introduction to the new single, while giving attendees a glimpse of the musical direction Koffee is taking as she prepares to unveil her next body of work.

Koffee had previously indicated that she planned to release four singles ahead of the album. However, that plan has since expanded, with the artiste revealing that fans can now expect a total of six singles as part of the roll-out.

“Actually, we said it was four, but we’re going up to six. So, four of those singles have been released so far, with Ova So freshly being out. So, of course, you have Koffee, Rapid Fyah, Summer Fruits, and Ova So makes it four so far.”

With Ova So now released, two additional singles remain, one of which is expected to arrive on the same day as the album. Koffee also confirmed that both upcoming releases will be collaborations, although she is keeping the identities of her collaborators under wraps for now.

“Just look out for them,” she teased with a laugh when pressed for details.

While fans will have to wait until February for the full project, Koffee promises a refreshed musical experience.

“Definitely a refreshing vibe from Original Koffee,” she said, explaining that she continues to draw from reggae and dancehall while incorporating influences from the music she has encountered around the world.

“I always put my little fusion on reggae and dancehall, and just use the music I grew up on and mix it with the music that I’ve grown to like across the world and globally,” she explained.

As for the other surprises surrounding the album, Koffee is keeping those close to the chest for now.

“Mi cya pinch and tell you just yet, just look out,” she joked, while promising that announcements are coming soon.

“We have some announcements coming up soon, though, so look out for those.”
