A line-up that includes dancehall icon Patra, dancehall heavyweight Beenie Man, hitmaker Busy Signal, high-energy entertainer Ding Dong, internationally acclaimed singer and The Voice winner Tessanne Chin, legendary Jamaican group T.O.K., reggae veteran Richie Stephens, dancehall lyricist Agent Sasco, J’Calm, and AcYn has been packaged into a set titled J-House Volume 1.

Mixed and mastered at Circle House Studios in Florida, J-House Volume 1, which arrives September 18, is the first full-scale showcase of CEO Freddy Browne’s vision: take the energy, production language, and international reach of house music and fuse it with Jamaica’s distinctive vocal performances, songwriting, rhythms, and cultural identity.

And this is not simply Jamaican artistes appearing on house tracks. J-House is about putting Jamaican artistry inside a global house music ecosystem without stripping away what makes it Jamaican. For Browne, the excitement around the project is palpable.

“This is crazy,” Browne says, reflecting on what J-House Volume 1 represents and the possibilities it creates for Jamaican music.

Browne is not approaching the project as an outsider attempting to introduce Jamaica to house music. He has spent more than two decades immersed in the international house music community, performing globally and building relationships within an industry that reaches across clubs, festivals, radio, DJs, streaming, and electronic music culture.

J-House is the bridge that he believes can connect that world with Jamaica’s extraordinary musical talent.

The opportunity is significant because house music sits within one of the world’s most commercially powerful music ecosystems.

The global electronic music industry reached US$15.1 billion in 2025, according to the 2026 International Music Summit (IMS) Electronic Music Business Report, a seven per cent increase over the previous year. That figure encompasses the wider electronic music economy, including recorded music, live experiences, technology and other sectors surrounding the culture.

For Jamaica, the significance is the size of the opportunity.

House music connects artistes to a vast international network of DJs, clubs, festivals, streaming platforms, radio, playlists, licensing opportunities, and electronic music audiences. J-House is designed to place Jamaican talent within that ecosystem. And that makes the project as much about market expansion as it is about musical experimentation. With J-House Volume 1, those doors are represented by some of Jamaica’s most recognizable musical voices.

Patra brings the international credibility of a dancehall pioneer whose career helped introduce Jamaican music to mainstream audiences. Beenie Man and Busy Signal bring generations of dancehall energy and hitmaking experience. Ding Dong brings his distinctive dance-driven performance style. Tessanne Chin brings the vocal power and international profile that took her to victory on The Voice. T.O.K. carries the legacy of one of Jamaica’s most internationally recognized vocal groups, while Richie Stephens, Agent Sasco, J’Calm, and AcYn further broaden the project’s musical range.

The line-up itself makes a statement: J-House is not confined to one generation, one sound, or one lane of Jamaican music.

Through J-House Entertainment, Browne is developing an ecosystem encompassing the J-House genre, a record label, music publishing and global distribution with the intention of creating infrastructure that can support artistes, producers and songwriters beyond a single release.

Browne has been affiliated with Sony for more than two decades, with J-House distributed through The Orchard/Sony Music, giving the project access to an established international distribution network.
