Mark Wignall | Fundamentally evil
At his core, the US president swims in a huge void. One of the great Trump policy directions is one of non-intervention, that is, no armed intervention. That, I believe, was his intention until a little thing called Jeffrey Epstein gave life to many matters in many directions.
Another key part of what gives President Trump his vitality is his attachment to his various ‘sins’, especially those for underage girls. So much pressure was upon him, and as much as the law was pushing to disclose as much as possible, Trump saw an ‘easy’ way out: Venezuela.
I have some Venezuelan friends in Jamaica. They all dislike Maduro. What we all seem to agree on. We all love Venezuelan coffee.
I suppose that the American engineers will determine how best to process the heavy sulphur Venezuelan oil. “On Saturday, Trump said the United States is going to run the country until he finds a suitable leader. We’re going to be running it with a group. And we’re going to be making sure it’s run properly.
Political consultant for the Democrats James Carville is urging politicians to wake up.
According to Carville, the whole strike is just a diversionary tactic. Carville is 100 per cent correct. This has always been just another sidestepping, another show, and those who cannot see it are deliberately burying their noses.
America has ventured way off track, but even if it appears that this is Trump’s deliberate path, it matters little to the US president. From here on he is simply fully on automatic, and it doesn’t matter where the final destination takes him. It will be a reset of his life.
Where any destination is suitable and has a finality about it.
America once had clout, mastery. along with military might and raw power. It is now just another pariah state. Stephen Miller has whispered in Trump’s ear, and in quick time, The Monroe Doctrine has been given new life, Trump doesn’t want the world to be aware of him. He wants the world to fear him. It is what he has sought all of his life. As his niece has consistently informed us. Love has eluded him, so he has opted for fear, and it makes him feel very special.
WHERE DOES AMERICA GO FROM HERE?
The America that stepped forward, large and in charge after World War II always assumed that although we knew about its ‘dirty’ side, there was a part that it played as the world’s good guys. It was Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and Hollywood.
President Trump no longer has to pretend to overlook America’s nasty side. He is fully in tune with all that the modern ways of racism require. The dangers of this is that countries in Europe/Asia( Russia) will be emboldened to make demands on those who it sees as weaker and vulnerable.
When America goes imperialist it doesn’t go halfway in. It goes all the way in. In America, seizing the way of predation as its oil trading regime, it has chosen to begin to trade as a pirate. And others will follow.
The reality is that the Trump regime has chosen to make a bed right beside us, using the Caribbean as a most convenient rest stop. None of us asked for this. But the fact is, America is huge, and it has never had to seek our permission.
In the 1970s, America didn’t like what it saw in the region, and the underbelly of its deep politics rolled over on us. Many countries in the region were affected. And governments were destabilised.
A great and dark awakening is opening to us again. Many are viewing the Argentina matter as a nightmare. Many are seeing it as something to be deeply fearful of. I know of one family who are seriously thinking of moving to a European capital. If Trump rolls over and embraces there, where is the escape?
BOMBING BOATS
For the last few months, the Trump regime has taken it on itself to arbitrarily bomb boats and kill as many people as possible. Most of us have no choice but to watch and be spectators.
While watching, we had no idea if our relatives were drowned or blown to bits. But because the imperialists are most powerful, we had to sit and accept it. At that time, Trump knew exactly what he was doing. He was showing fear. deep, dark fear. And he loved it .
The Congress of the US seemed weak and were ready to give up its power to the president. It was one of the biggest power grabs. It was open season. Now, the world is so much weaker, and the fear has grown so much.
We have to face up to the fact that our powerful neighbour to the north is no longer our friend. The friend to our north is a most evil neighbour. And there is little we can do about it.
