Mentally ill woman suspected of committing suicide

Investigators from the Port Morant police station in St Thomas are probing the death of a mentally ill woman who it is alleged to have committed suicide this morning.

The body of 42-year-old Millicent Donaldson also known as Carol, was found by members of her family hanging from an ackee tree at her home in Forte, Leith Hall in the parish. 

A ladder was also found propped up against the tree from which Donaldson's body was found hanging by a piece of rope. 

Shocked relatives say Donaldson was receiving treatment for her illness at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
