Flash flood watch remains in effect

The national meteorological service has maintained a Flash Flood Watch for northern parishes until 5 p.m. today.

A Flash Flood Watch means flooding is possible and, therefore, residents should take precautionary action.

As a result, the met service forecasts that there will be heavy showers and thunderstorms during the next 12 hours, which could result in flash flooding in flood-prone and low-lying areas.
