Gold for Jamaica's Briana Williams at Carifta

Jamaica's Briana Williams this evening won gold in the Girl's Under-17  100 metres at the Carifta Games in the Bahamas.

Williams sped to victory in 11.27 seconds.

Jaida Knowles of the Bahamas was second in 11.68 seconds with Sonia Jones of  Antigua taking the bronze 11.90 seconds.

The other Jamaican in the event, Serena Cole was sixth in 11.90 seconds.
