Police warn against removing barricades at University Road break-away
The police are warning motorists against removing barricades mounted along a section of University Road in August Town, Kingston 7 which has been closed due to a break-away.
According to the police, the road has been officially closed by the National Works Agency for repairs with warning signs and road closure barricades being erected.
The police say unscrupulous persons have been removing the barricades so as to continue using the road.
They say persons who have breached the road closure have been penalised.
The police are advising motorists to use alternative routes and to desist from removing the barricades as this is dangerous for themselves and others.
