A post-mortem is to be conducted today on the bodies of the elderly couple from Manchester, England, who were killed in the farming community of Mount Pleasant in Portland.

Seven four-year-old Alford Anderson and his 71-year-old wife Florence were found dead on Friday, June 22 with their bodies partially burned and wounds to the face and neck.

Investigators have revealed that the woman was defrauded of approximately $8 million from her credit card account, which was under investigation by the police.

Last week, the police arrested two male persons of interests in connection with the credit card racket, but since then one of the suspect, who was questioned, has been released.

The other suspect, who investigators claimed played a key role in the credit card fraud, remains in custody.

According to the police, the investigation so far has revealed that the suspect was close to the couple.

In the meantime, investigators are trying to recover some of the items purchased by the suspect with the deceased woman's credit card.

They say the suspect reportedly went on a shopping spree at supermarkets, a hardware store, and automobile shops.
