Is North Korea preparing for a missile or satellite launch?
Satellite images from a facility near Pyongyang have triggered speculation that North Korea could be preparing to launch a missile or a satellite.
The images were published by United States (US) public radio network NPR.
The images appear to show increased activities around a site, known as Sanumdong, where North Korea assembles its ballistic missiles and rockets.
This comes amid reports earlier this week that North Korea's main rocket launch site at Sohae had been rebuilt.
Work to dismantle Sohae began last year, but was halted after talks with the US stalled.
US President Donald Trump says he would be disappointed if North Korea was to resume weapons testing.
"I would be surprised in a negative way if he did anything that was not per our understanding. But we'll see what happens," he said, in reference to North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.
"I would be very disappointed if I saw testing," added Trump.
Analysts believe that it is more likely that Pyongyang is preparing to launch a satellite rather than test a missile.
But the US says that would still be inconsistent with the commitments the North Korean leader gave the Trump administration.
