Ailing St Catherine policewoman passes away
The St Catherine North Police Division has been plunged into mourning arising from today's death of a policewoman who was ailing for some time.
Constable Latoya Powell, who worked at the Spanish Town Police Station, was said to be well loved by her colleagues.
Several were in tears today as news of her passing came.
"I just can't come to the reality that she is really dead. But, she was ailing and God knows best," a colleague said.
Head of the division Hopton Nicholson said that Powell's passing has affected morale.
" She was a dependable police personnel who we wish she would have returned to work, but it wasn't to be. I wish condolence to her colleagues, well-wishers and family at this time," he said.
