Growth & Jobs | Re-Align Business and Investment Conference set to ignite Africa-Caribbean business collaboration
JAMAICA is poised to take the spotlight this June as it hosts the Re-Align Business & Investment Conference (Realign) – a premier forum aimed at accelerating trade, investment, and innovation between the Caribbean and the global diaspora.
Organised by Entrepreneurial Partners Limited (EPL), the three-day event will be held from June 24 to 25 at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel and on June 26 at the offices of Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) in Kingston, under the theme: ‘Investments and Partnerships: Powering Economic Prosperity and Engaging Global Africa’.
The Re-Align Business and Investment Conference is more than just a conference – it’s a strategic initiative to position Jamaica as a hub for economic transformation. “Re-Align is a platform for visionaries,” said Garfield Daley, chairman and CEO of EPL. He continued, “We are harnessing a moment where interest in Africa and Caribbean collaboration is growing, and Jamaica is uniquely placed to serve as a bridge. Our mission is to unlock new investment flows, foster purposeful partnerships, and ensure our entrepreneurs are aligned with global opportunities.”
The 2020 direct flight from Nigeria to Jamaica strengthened Africa and Caribbean ties. It symbolised a historic connection and opened the possibility of lasting commercial and cultural exchange. Building on this foundation, Ambassador Janet Olisa of Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs will share her insights at the conference, highlighting pathways to deepen Pan-African economic cooperation and strategic partnerships within the Global South. As Nigeria continues to shape Africa’s trade diplomacy and development agenda, Ambassador Olisa’s participation underscores the importance of high-level bilateral engagement in advancing regional collaboration.
The event will also feature a robust lineup of speakers, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and development stakeholders. Among the confirmed speakers is Ambassador Audrey Marks, Jamaica’s former envoy to the United States and a tireless advocate for diaspora-led investment. Her keynote address will explore how strategic alliances with the diaspora and Africa can mobilise investment capital to drive inclusive and sustained economic prosperity across regions.
Programming highlights include thought leadership panels on global Africa, diaspora development finance, regional collaboration, and empowerment through innovation. Each session is designed to deliver actionable insights and forge new business alliances.
One of the conference’s marquee features is Day Three’s SME and Investor Pitch Session – an exciting opportunity for Jamaican entrepreneurs to present scalable, high-impact ventures to a room of active investors including Nigerian investors. This pitch event will serve as a catalytic space to match innovation with capital and help local businesses scale regionally and globally.
“Entrepreneurs need more than inspiration – they need access,” Daley added. “This pitch session opens the door to capital and mentorship for ideas that can scale globally.”
As Jamaica asserts its role on the global economic stage, Re-Align stands as a bold step forward, fostering the alliances needed for shared prosperity.
