Delivery driver charged for allegedly pocketing money from sales
Twenty-seven-year-old St Andrew delivery driver Marlon Henry has been charged with embezzlement on allegations of pocketing money from sales for his company.
Reports from the Portmore police are that between July and August, Henry conducted business for his company in Central Village, St Catherine where he collected payments for goods.
However, at the end of his assignment, he reportedly did not hand over the full amount of the daily sales.
Subsequent checks revealed that a total of $463,155 was unaccounted for.
Henry was allegedly unable to explain the missing funds, prompting a report to the police.
He was later arrested and formally charged.
A court date is currently being finalised.
