Man killed in alleged confrontation with police in Kingston East

Personnel from the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) were called to the scene of another police fatal shooting this morning on Madden Street in Kingston East.
The Gleaner understands that the shooting occurred about 6:30 a.m. and there is now an active scene of investigation.
Reports are that one man was killed during an alleged confrontation with the police and a firearm seized.
The deceased man is known as 'Southie'.
INDECOM says that as at October 9, there were 235 fatal shootings in Jamaica for this year.
There were three fatal shootings for the month at that point.
