Some flights cancelled but airports remain open
Three Caribbean Airlines flights which were scheduled for this weekend between Fort Lauderdale in the US and Montego Bay, Jamaica, have been cancelled, MBJ Airports Limited has announced.
It urged passengers to contact their airline for rebooking and the latest flight information.
It says Sangster International Airport (SIA) remains open and operating normally at this time.
Meanwhile, PAC Kingston Airport Limited, operator of the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, has confirmed that the airport remains open, at this time, based on the latest bulletin on Tropical Storm Melissa.
Both airports say officials have been monitoring and preparing for the storm and will provide updates as needed.
