Five arrested after guns and ammunition seized in Parry Town, St Ann

Five people were arrested in Parry Town, St Ann after over 100 rounds of assorted ammunition, two illegal firearms, and an air gun were seized by the police this morning.

The Gleaner understands that the items were unearthed during a cordon and search operation.

It is reported that about 4:30 a.m., members of the Special Operations Branch, Area Two Area Fugitive Apprehension Team and St Ann police conducted the operation.

The two women and the three men were arrested for the illegal weapons and ammunition after the operation ended.

Their names are being withheld pending further investigations.
