In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, communities across St Elizabeth, Westmoreland, Crawford, Seaford Town, and surrounding parishes continue to face challenges related to food security.

In response, the Seprod Foundation, in partnership with Brunswick and Facey Commodity, has delivered 98,000 cans of mackerel as well as additional tuna and sardines to help feed communities working tirelessly to rebuild.

“Collaboration strengthens national resilience during times of crisis,” said Melanie Subratie, chairperson of the Seprod Foundation. “Brunswick’s swift action complements vital efforts from relief partners, ensuring families receive not only food but the dignity and hope they deserve.”

Danielle Howe, brand manager for Brunswick, highlighted the importance of decisive action during recovery efforts.

“In moments like these, speed, scale, and responsibility matter,” Howe said. “We’re proud to contribute with nutritious staples and stand with Jamaica alongside organisations like UNICEF, Project HOPE, and many other local leaders.”

The Seprod Foundation, in collaboration with its partners, remains focused on supporting households, restoring dignity, and strengthening communities that rebuild each day. Through coordinated action, Jamaica continues to recover with renewed resilience.
