Leicester beauty Kira McKenzie is Miss Jamaica UK 2025

Thirty-one-year-old singer Kira McKenzie, representing the parish of St Elizabeth, was crowned Miss Jamaica UK 2025 before an appreciative audience inside the Cavendish Banqueting Suite, Edgware Road, London NW9 on Saturday, November 29.
She beat off a field of 11 other contestants to take the crown in the annual finals which honours women of Jamaican heritage, beauty and talent within the UK diaspora community. Placing second was Siobhan Witter, a dancer and actress, who represented St Andrew, while third place went to Dominque Harvey, a legal executive, who represented Manchester.
This year’s competition brought together inspiring young women who embody confidence, creativity, and community pride. On a night of elegance and empowerment, Kira McKenzie stood out with her radiant presence, eloquence and commitment to represent Jamaican culture.
It was this combination of exceptional quality which allowed her to captivate audiences and judges alike to become Miss Jamaica UK 2025.
Her winning performance combined grace with authenticity, reminding the audience of the pageant’s mission: to celebrate identity, empower women, and strengthen cultural ties between Jamaica and the UK.
Hailing from Leicester in the east Midlands, McKenzie pledged to use her platform as Miss Jamaica UK 2025 to advocate for youth empowerment, cultural education and creative opportunities for the next generation.
Entertainment on the night included live performances from singers Chereena Miller, Zeena Banks and The Divettes. Popular reggae jazz guitarist Ciyo Brown gave few a renditions from his album ‘ Can We Pretend’ and also his latest work ‘ Give Me The Night’.
Emcee duties were performed by W Livingston Gilchrist and Deneez Peters. The packed to capacity venue of the Cavendish Banqueting Suite, certainly had a night to remember as the popular contest, founded by June Daley, made a welcome return after a four-year hiatus.
