Some Stony Hill, St Andrew communities under curfew
Some communities in Stony Hill, St Andrew are now under curfew as part of ongoing police operations aimed at maintaining order and public safety in the area.
The security measure, which covers Airy Castle Road and Brooks Level, runs from 6:00 p.m. today until 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
During the curfew, residents are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
The police have advised that persons found on the streets without lawful excuse may be arrested and charged.
The police have also urged residents to cooperate fully with members of the security forces as operations continue.
The boundaries of the curfew are:
North – From 19 Golden Spring Road, St Andrew, within an imaginary line across Brooks Level Road, to the intersection of Airy Castle Road and Bowden Hill Road for about 1.40 km.
East – From the intersection of Airy Castle Road and Bowden Hill Road to the intersection of Airy Castle Drive and Lipscombe Avenue for about 789 metres.
South – From the intersection of Airy Castle Drive and Lipscombe Avenue to the intersection of Stony Hill Road and Seaview Road for about 474 metres.
West – From the intersection of Stony Hill Road and Seaview Road to 19 Golden Spring Road for about 167 metres.
