Police probing suspected suicide of St Mary man

The police in St Mary are investigating the suspected suicide of a man who died in hospital days after reportedly ingesting a corrosive substance.
He has been identified by the police as 57-year-old Garfield Brown of Three Hill in Retreat.
Reports are that on Monday, January 19, Brown allegedly ingested a corrosive substance.
He was subsequently rushed to hospital, where he was admitted.
Despite medical intervention, Brown later succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday about 6:00 a.m., the police reported.
Investigations are ongoing.
