JCC Charity Ball - 36th Year of Class and Elegance for a Worthy Cause

It was that time of year again - when guests were elegantly dressed and ready to glide across the dance floor gracefully, as if they were floating on air.
On November 4, the 36th JCC Sameer Younis Foundation's Grand Charity Ball was held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel under the theme 'Hands and Hearts for Youth'. This as the foundation continues to help develop the Jamaican youth, helping them make a better Jamaica.
In his welcome remarks, Younis said, "We are aware of the role we must play collectively in enabling them (youth) to be the best they can be, bearing in mind that possibilities in this regard are endless as they are priceless."
His son, Jason, thanked their partners and sponsors as well as members of the planning committee that have been very reliable over the years in putting the ball together. Then it was time party.
As is customary, Sameer Younis and his wife Leila opened the dance floor to the lovely live performance of Unique Vision. Guests quickly joined them as the band transitioned from one genre to the next, having guests swaying to love songs and jiving to soca beats.
They were given a break to dine and restore all the energy spend on the dance floor. Then it was time for a very enchanting cabaret performance by Cameal Davis. Her voice captivated all in the room and her charisma was on display as she interacted with guests. A few took to the stage to dance with her and while dancing and singing, she did not miss a beat. At the end, while many were left wanting more of her charm, it was time to kick off their shoes and dance the night away.
It was a fun-filled night for a worthy cause.
