See, sip and swipe with Sagicor
Sagicor Investments treated guests to a night of fine art and great cocktails at their Cocktails and Canvas event last Tuesday evening.
It was not a night of formalities, but one of mingling and showcasing Jamaica's talent. The poolside at the Terra Nova All Suite Hotel was transformed into an exquisite gallery. Guests got to see Jamaica's art at its finest, with collections from local art galleries, and artisans to giving guests a chance to experience first-hand, the mastery of some of Jamaica's most celebrated painters, sculptors and illustrators.
On display were pieces from the Osmosis and Grosvenor galleries. There were also a few artists present to showcase their works themselves. Among them were 19-year-old Martin Collins; Alicia Thomas of A'Marie designs; Karen Carter; and Kemar Williams who, Sagicor has given a scholarship to continue pursing his education at the Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing arts;
Guests were noticeably enchanted by the creativity, with some going home with a little something extra.
Sagicor wanted customers to enjoy a night of art as they believe that art is a good investment, a point re-enforced by vice-president, client services and wealth management, Tara Nunes.
Some patrons seemed to have agreed with her and followed the event's theme, See, Sip, and Swipe.
