Manchester United's problems continue after the shocking 5-3 defeat at Leicester (after leading 2-0 and 3-1). Their total of five points from five Barclays Premier League games is their worst haul at this stage since the 1989-90 campaign, and the eight goals they have already conceded after five games is United's highest total since leaking 10 in their opening five in 2001-02.

However, Manchester United have taken 31 points from their last 11 Premier League games against West Ham.

And the Hammers have scored nine goals in 18 Premier League games at Old Trafford and never more than one in a single game.

Incredibly, Manchester United have conceded six penalties in their last 15 Premier League games - before this run, they had not conceded one in a massive 85 league outings.

And United have been beaten in 10 of their last 25 top-flight games; the previous 10 losses came in a run of 148 matches.

Both teams had the week off after losing in the previous round of the Capital One Cup, but West Ham should arrive in a confident mood after beating Liverpool 3-1 at Upton Park last Saturday.

United's injury problems continue with Jonny Evans ruled out with an ankle injury sustained against Leicester.

With Tyler Blackett suspended following his red card at Leicester, manager Louis van Gaal has a problem in defence, so Chris Smalling should start for the first time since recovering from a groin injury.

With Phil Jones also absent, newcomer Marcos Rojo should switch to the centre with Luke Shaw covering at left back.
