Arnett Gardens defeated Molynes United 2-1 on Sunday to join league leaders Mount Pleasant and Waterhouse at the top of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) standings with 17 points.

Goals from Renaldo Cephas and Kimani Arbourine saw Arnett Gardens coming from behind to secure their fourth straight win.

Molynes took the lead five minutes before half-time when Nelson broke loose and placed his effort around Peter Harrison in goal but the ball hit the post and then rebounded into the net off the retreating Gerald Neil for the opener.

After the break, it was one-way traffic as Arnett Gardens dominated proceedings. Midway the half substitute Damari Deacon was brought down inside the box and Cephas slammed home the resulting penalty for the equaliser in the 72nd minute.

Then in the final minute of play, Arbourine who had squandered a few good opportunities, turned up to head home from close range to seal the win.

Arnett trail leaders Mount Pleasant and Waterhouse on goal difference. Molynes United are second from bottom with four points from eight matches.

In Sunday's opening game 10-man Humble Lion and Vere United played to a 0-0 draw. Vere are ninth in the 12-team standings with seven points while Humble Lion are tenth with six.
