DUNBEHOLDEN GO in search of their second win of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) season when they take on the winless Molynes United in one of only two matches on today at Stadium East at 6 p.m.

In the first game at 3:30 p.m., Vere United play Lime Hall Academy.

After taking five matches to get their first goal and first win of the season, Dunbeholden coach Lenworth Hyde said the win added confidence and he expects it to really kick-start their campaign.

“I think so (we are getting it right). We had a lot of passes today (Wednesday against Lime Hall). We had control of the game. We made some mistakes. But mentally, going forward, I think we will build and get better,” he said.

He admits that there are areas that need strengthening but that he is no haste to go into the market, as there will be a host of talented schoolboys joining the ranks shortly, with the schoolboy season winding down.

“We have to fix certain areas in the team but who comes comes. We have a lot of players coming in and we will see which areas we have to fix,” he commented.

Dunbeholden are 10th in the table with five points, three ahead of Molynes who just have two draws to show from their six matches thus far.

The departure of striker Nicholas Nelson, who scored Dunbeholden’s two goals in their 2-1 win on Wednesday, from Molynes has left a big void in the Molynes team but coach Alex Thomas said they are working to get the combinations right.

“That is what has been plaguing us all season. But we have been working, trying to find the right chemistry with players, moving around players. So we have to go back to the drawing board and fix this. And stay positive,” he said.

In the day’s other game, Vere will also be hunting for their second win from six games against a Lime Hall team yet to taste victory after five.

Vere sit above Dunbeholden in the standings on goal difference, while Dunbeholden are only ahead of Molynes by the same tiebreaker.
