ORGANISER OF the Bob Marley One Love Football match, Clive ‘Busy’ Campbell, promises a full day of fun and giveaways when the 43rd staging of the event takes place at the Harbour View Stadium today at 3 p.m.

Campbell said all the sponsors have something in store for patrons, and call on football lovers to come out in support of a worthy cause.

“We have a lot of prizes to give away. Sponsors, Sun Island, will be giving away bags to kids. PUMA and Tuff Gong will be giving away prizes as well,” Campbell disclosed.

A contribution of $500 will be required for entry. But children under 12 will enter free.

“We call it a donation to help because there are so many basic schools that need computers, fans and fridges and we just want to continue helping them. But we want people to come out, enjoy the day and win something,” he said.

This year, four teams – Masters and Celebrities, Entertainers, Christian Ambassadors, and Referees – will contest the Bob Marley One Love Trophy.

The four teams will play each other once for 30 minutes and the team with the most points at the end will lift the trophy.

“They (teams) want bragging rights, which I tell them I didn’t want to. But we allow them to,” said Campbell.

Some of the stars that will be on show include Laalee, Nesbeth, Chris Martin, O’Neil ‘Bigga’ Thompson, and Jermaine ‘Teddy’ Johnson.

Meanwhile, four iconic members of the music fraternity will be honoured at this year’s event.

The honourees include Tarrus Riley, Tanya Stephens, Bongo Herman, and Ernie Smith.
