PCS launches business-continuity service

These sentiments were echoed by other information-technology specialists who attended the launch of DataVault, an online back-up service being offered by PCS.
'DataVault' was introduced to the business community recently at a function at the Terra Nova Hotel. The event was well attended by representatives of the financial, telecommunications, security, education and shipping industries as well as the public sector.
PCS' online back-up service is secure and allows clients to schedule their back-up time as required. The service supports all Windows desktops and servers, all common flavours of Linux, Mac OS x 10.x and FreeBSD 5.4 and above.
The product provides military-strength (up to 448 bit) data encryption and is supported by a modern file-compression technology. It features an intuitive and user-friendly interface and has the capacity to back up a wide array of data captured in any document, electronic mail, Exchange server or Microsoft server and SharePoint Server. Customers' back-up data is also replicated to another data centre for added protection.
