Last year, Violet Lewis delivered a bouncing baby girl, weeks before her hus-band Lennox Lewis' 44th birthday, and that has served as one of his most special gifts to date.
On Wednesday night, the businesswoman gave the former heavyweight champ the surprise of his life with a pre-birthday soiree tagged 'Boys' Night Out'.
Closing the doors of the Blue Beat Jazz Lounge with a sign proclaiming 'Private Function', Lewis drove from his Tryall Club home in Hanover to a supposed dinner at House Boat in Freeport, with a short stop on the busy Hip Strip.
On arrival, the birthday boy, who celebrated the special day yesterday, was greeted with cheers of "Happy Birthday" from some 14 close buddies who came from all across the island and the Big Apple, New York, to pay tribute to him.
"He followed me everywhere I went all day, not certain about what I was up to. He was like white on rice," Violet Lewis quipped, while revealing how difficult it was to hide her plans from her hubby. The couple now have three in their brood; two girls and a boy - Landon, Ling and Leya.
Lennox Lewis knew nothing about the event, and when he walked into Blue Beat on Wednesday night the smile spread from one side of his face to the next. He was happy and it was obvious. Violet Lewis had done it again! This time with chess, backgammon, cards, and a cigar roller rolling the cylindrical tobacco smokes that her husband and his friends have come to love.
Lewis was "allowed" to play cards with the boys until the wee hours of Thursday morning, before he was collected by his wife and her best friend, New Yorker Stephanie Brown.
