What can the authorities do to stem the recent violence in Spanish Town?

I think community development will help to stem the violence in Spanish Town.

The recent fire at the Riverton City landfill has sparked outrage among
environmental groups across the island. What should the Gov't do to
prevent another landfill fire?

If they cannot control the smoke, the only solution is to relocate the landfill to a less-populated part of the island.

How about spending a fraction of what it cost, when these fires occur, to fence the property and limit access to all, except authorised personnel? It would be cheaper when it is secured.

I think the truck drivers and henchmen should be trained in fire prevention. Establish an on-site fire station, fully equiped with EMT/paramedics and other equipment. The Government should also implement mechanised incinerators and further establish a way how to stem the smoke that will emit from the burning of garbage, so as to lower our carbon footprint.

Use safety procedures to clamp down on the spreading of fire, and always have the required tools/equipment to prevent the danger of others in the surrounding environment.

They should put in place a system where electricity can be generated from the garbage for the national grid. I am not a specialist, but I've recently seen other developed countries using this tactic to generate methane for power.

In Germany, the Government has a system of transferring smoke emitted from landfills, power plants, etc. It is created underground through special pipes, which is not harmful to the environment. If handled in the proper manner, the cost of setting it up will seem less than it would be to fix the problem year after year.
