GraceKennedy Money Services awards scholarship to triplets
Western Bureau:With her children back in school for the Easter term, registered nurse Jacqueline Bailey-Campbell is now singing the praises of GraceKennedy Money Services (GKMS), which provided assistance through its scholarship programme.
Bailey-Campbell and her husband, Christopher Campbell, who reside in Orange Bay, Hanover, have five children - a boy and triplet girls from their union, plus another child fathered by Campbell. Like most large families, school preparation is a major challenge for the family.
Fortunately for them, Champbell, a seasonal employee on the Government's overseas work programme who spends between six and nine months per year on Mackinac Island in Michigan, USA, recently attended a GKMS barbecue for Jamaican workers and was one of the persons selected to receive scholarships for his children.

"It was welcoming news for me," said Bailey-Campbell. "When I went to collect the cheque and realised they had given scholarships to all three girls, I was pleasantly surprised.
"From the moment the GKMS representative rang me, I had no doubt it would come through. It was the first time my children were getting a scholarship, and irrespective of the amount, I thought it would have been helpful," said a grateful Bailey-Campbell.
The triplets - Christa, Christina and Christen - attend the Rusea's High School in Hanover. They are among some 40 students from western Jamaica who were recipients of the GKMS scholarships.
"I hope things will continue to work out for GKMS so that they can continue to reach out to other children," said Bailey-Campbell in praising the contribution of the corporate entity. "They are setting a good example that should be emulated by other businesses in corporate Jamaica. "
In its back-to-school initiative, GKMS offered scholarships amounting to $1 million to 100 children across the island.
