A new United Nations report has urged Caribbean governments to review the development model they have followed over the past three decades.
The statement suggests that if regional heads adopt this proposal it could substantially reduce poverty and achieve long-term growth.
The UN Conference on Trade and Development report noted that the world’s poorest countries were worst affected by the global economic crisis.
It said the crisis should be used as a turning point for the so-called Least Developed Countries.
