An Area of Low Pressure now located south of Hispaniola is generating scattered showers and thunderstorms across most of the eastern Caribbean and some parts of the central Caribbean. The instability produced by the area has also affected Jamaica today and is expected to continue affecting the island until Wednesday as the system moves westward across Jamaica. The forecast is for outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms, which could be heavy at times, to affect most parishes during the period.

Fishers and other marine interests are advised to exercise caution due to rough sea conditions in the vicinity showers and thunderstorms.

The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
