Nicholas Walters returns from injury to face Carlos Reyes
Undefeated Jamaican featherweight boxer, Nicholas Walters returns from a four month injury lay off to face the Dominican Republic’s Carlos Manuel Reyes for the vacant World Boxing Association FedeLatin crown in Haiti later this month.
Panama based Walters has not fight since suffering a fractured hand in August and his clash with Reyes for the 126 pounds regional title is set for December 18.
Walters suffered a fractured hand, and needed surgery after recording his last victory in early August in Panama City against Colombian Ernesto Vasquez.
The victory improved the former Caribbean amateur champion’s record to 12-0 with 10 knockouts.
Reyes has a record of 13-0 with 7 knockouts.
The bout will be the first for Walters outside of Panama and the first for Reyes away from his native Dominican Republic.
