The West Indies have been scheduled to play only three Tests against South Africa in the Caribbean next year, as their quantity of matches against high profile opposition continues to dwindle.

The fixtures were unveiled on the weekend by the West Indies Cricket Board.

The Caribbean side will engage the Proteas in a Test in Jamaica, another in St Kitts and the final in Barbados, in a tour that starts May 17.

The series will open at Queens Park Oval on May 19 with a 20/20 International before the first of two One-Day Internationals on May 22 and 24.

The series will move to Dominica where Windsor Park will host matches on May 27 and 30, before Jamaica hosts the final match three days later.

Following a two day warm up match at Chedwin Park, the first Test bowls off at Sabina Park on June 10 with Warner Park in St Kitts taking the second match from June 18-22.

The tour concludes in Barbados with the third and final Test at Kensington Oval, running from June 26-30.

There will be more games for West Indies in the shortest forms as they clash with Zimbabwe in a five-match One-Day International series starting February 28, and also play hosts to ICC World 20/20 Championship which runs from April 30-May 16.

The West Indies will also do battle against the South Africans in five One-Day Internationals and a solitary 20/20 International.
