Trinidadians are bracing themselves for another hike in the prices of baked products due to an expected increase in the cost of several grades of baker’s and all- purpose flour.

The twin-island republic’s Baker’s Association claims that the anticipated 29 percent increase in the price of flour was announced by the National Flour Mills in a meeting yesterday.

The Flour Mills’ Communication Officer, Simone Harris is expected to issue a statement on the matter later today.

The entity, which is the sole provider of wholesale flour in Trinidad and Tobago, last increased its prices by more than 20 percent on April 1.
