16 killed in Palestinian attack

At least 16 Palestinians, including 13 militants have been killed in an Israeli raid in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
According to medical sources and witnesses, the deaths came after Israeli tanks invaded the eastern suburbs of Gaza City.
The dead militants include the son of Mahmoud Zahhar, who is a senior leader of the militant Islamist Hamas group in Gaza.
According to reports, 48 persons were also injured in the attack.
The violence comes a day after Israeli and Palestinian Authority negotiators began talks on core issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
